Introduction to the business concept and content of the new economy. Basic concepts and foundations of e-commerce. Developing issues in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM). E-Commerce within the Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) context and discussions regarding the implementation of these systems.

Goals:
This course provides the tools necessary to gain a working understanding of the origins, development and future of the internet as it influences e-commerce. By concentrating on the end uses of e-commerce and ERP information, the students should develop research and investigative skills that will help them in making decisions.
Objectives:
· To provide a broad practical knowledge in the field of e-business and prepare students to undertake e-business projects and strategies.
· To understand the use of evolving electronic or internet technologies within both private and public sectors, and explore B2C as well as B2B models.
· To reexamine fundamental processes of business within cyberspace, as opposed to physical space.
· To articulate e-business’ costs and benefits, strengths and weaknesses, former and evolving concepts, and business models.
· To discuss the effects of e-commerce on supply chains.
· To discuss how IT support supply chain through ERP.
