Catalog Data:

A minimum of 4 weeks (20 working days) training in a manufacturing facility. Observation of the various aspects of the production system (such as production processes, quality and cost). Preparation of a written report based on the IE399 guide. (Prerequisites: IE206, MFGE205 )

Goals:

The purpose of this course is to provide an opportunity for the student to receive training in  a manufacturing facility.

Objectives:

• To guide the student for structured information gathering and analysis of a   manufacturing company

• To help student in identifying different departments, organizations, functionalities, processes and their interactions present in a manufacturing facility

• To improve formal report writing skills
